Hi Sheila, I emailed the pattern for the hippo and elephant to you. You can download the pattern for the giraffe within my blog post. I remember when I first learned to crochet, I had the same problem of not being able to cooperate my fingers well and hold the yarn the way people in the YouTube videos taught us. I later chose my own crochet position that I was most comfortable with and the experience became smoother with practice. I believe you will reach that point with practice. Don’t get discouraged 🙂

I go through both loops for regular stitching and increasing. For decreasing, I use front loop only.

Hello Leah, I wish I could but there are a lot of food patterns and some of them are free-form (meaning no written patterns for some). As I said in my blog post, I got most food patterns from the Internet and books. If you could tell me which foods (from the picture I posted within my blog) that you would like to make, I may be able to find their patterns (i.e. the patterns that I used) and email them to you. Let me know. I look forward to hearing from you!
